The questions we are actually asked, answered directly.
The current version is PT0-003, also called PenTest+ V3. It replaced PT0-002, which retired on 17 June 2025. Any course still teaching the PT0-002 domain structure — including a separate "Tools and Code Analysis" domain — is teaching a retired exam. Our syllabus follows PT0-003.
CompTIA recommends Network+ and Security+ or equivalent knowledge, plus three to four years in a penetration testing role. That is a recommendation, not a gate — no certificate is checked at the exam.
Freshers are accepted on our batches, and we cover networking, Linux and security foundations before the exam-weighted material begins. What we will not do is claim there are no prerequisites at all: PT0-003 assumes you can read a packet capture and navigate a Linux shell. Five domains: Engagement Management 13%, Reconnaissance and Enumeration 21%, Vulnerability Discovery and Analysis 17%, Attacks and Exploits 35%, and Post-exploitation and Lateral Movement 14%. Attacks and Exploits is the largest at just over a third of the exam.
A maximum of 90 questions in 165 minutes, combining multiple-choice and performance-based questions. The passing score is 750 on a scale of 100 to 900. Exam details are set by CompTIA and can change — confirm on CompTIA's official PenTest+ page before booking.
They ask you to complete a task or analyse real output rather than pick from a list — reading scan results, ordering the steps of an attack chain, correcting a command, or matching a finding to the right remediation. They are why a lab-led course matters more for PenTest+ than for a purely multiple-choice certification.
CEH is vendor-led, knowledge-based and broader across attack categories, and is more widely named in Indian job listings. PenTest+ is vendor-neutral, includes performance-based questions, and gives 13% of the exam to engagement management. Take CEH v13 if the job ads you are targeting name it; take PenTest+ if you want to prove you can run an engagement end to end. Many students do both.
60+ hours of instructor-led live training. Weekday batches run about six weeks; weekend batches about twelve weeks with two to three hour sessions. Every session is recorded and shared.
The course covers all five PT0-003 domains, the labs and placement support. The exam voucher is an optional add-on, bought when you are ready to sit the exam rather than upfront. Note it is issued by CompTIA — not EC-Council.

Three years from the date you pass. It renews through CompTIA's Continuing Education programme — collecting CE units, or passing a higher-level CompTIA certification, rather than re-sitting the same exam.
Penetration tester, VAPT engineer, vulnerability analyst, security consultant, application security analyst and red team associate roles. It is also recognised in security analyst and SOC hiring, because the same reconnaissance and exploitation knowledge is what detection engineers defend against.
